Amazon ($AMZN) demolished earnings expectations yet again, as consumers flocked to the e-commerce titan at the holiday season, allowing the Seattle tech giant to easily beat top- and bottom-line earnings expectations. Shares rose double-digits in trading Friday morning January 31.

On the whole, Amazon appears to be in mega-growth mode. Amazon's earnings, which were announced on January 30, were no different. Shares hit an all-time high in trading the following morning, and that's not all that's at an all-time high. Globally, job postings grew by nearly 1,000, marking a rise of more than 40.8% - so Amazon's growth ambitions aren't done yet.

Now, more than ever: Amazon is not taking any Ls. And, it doesn't think you should, either.

The company has been loading up on "all things delivery," from warehouse associates to safety inspectors to make sure operations are not running just soundly and smoothly, but safely. But all those deliveries have created a major headache that's a top-line disruptor: reportedly up to one-third of consumers have had a package stolen, not just from Amazon, but from all shippers.

And, while Ring is helping monitor the situation, Amazon has had to add a lot more staffers to investigate and resolve theft and missing package incidents, tracked in our chart above. Right now, since we began tracking this category, it's at an all-time high, having risen 41.4%, outpacing the growth of global job postings. There are plenty of other areas of Amazon's business where hiring is nearing or hitting a peak (tons of tech and technical roles, in fact) - and we'll be back with more of them soon, before its next earnings report.

About the Data:

Thinknum tracks companies using the information they post online - jobs, social and web traffic, product sales, and app ratings - and creates data sets that measure factors like hiring, revenue, and foot traffic. Data sets may not be fully comprehensive (they only account for what is available on the web), but they can be used to gauge performance factors like staffing and sales.
