Amazon ($AMZN) Prime Day, Part 1 is behind us. As the first 24 hours of the two-day shopping extravaganza at the world's largest e-commerce site came to a close, we take a look at category sales ranks and, once again, Amazon's own products reigned supreme.
In Amazon's Computers & Accessories category, the All-New Fire 7 Tablet (7" display, 16 GB) - Black took the number-one spot. In Electronics, Amazon's Fire TV Stick with a $45 Sling TV credit was the best seller.
For Home & Kitchen, pressure cookers once again sold best (they were best-sellers in 2018) as the Instant Pot DUO Qt 9-in-1 Multi- Use Programmable Pressure Cooker took the top spot. In Health & Household, Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Dish Soap, Lavender, 16 fl oz, 3 ct was the best seller.
The best-selling Movies & TV product for Prime Day, Part 1 went to "The Office: The Complete Series". In CDs & Vinyl, Ed Sheeran's "No. 6 Collaborations Project" topped the charts. In Books, Pet Puzzles sold best while mystery novel What You Did was the top Kindle seller.
The full list of category #1s is included below. We'll take a look at Prime Day 2019 best sellers tomorrow after the dust settles. Meanwhile, early indications are that shoppers aren't quite as excited at Prime Day in previous years. That said, it's like Amazon will once again report record sales despite the somewhat sober buzz.
