If you haven't heard of the LOL Surprise! Glam Glitter Series dolls, chances are you will as we head into the holiday season. These $10.99 collectible figures have become one of the hottest items sold at Best Buy, shooting to the retailer's top-10 items sold in October.
According to sales-rank data we track for Best Buy ($BBY), the collectible figures came in at an average sales rank of 55.96, having appeared in the top-ranked products for 23 days of the month of October. This put it at spot #9 ahead of the Sony ($SNE) PlayStation 4, antivirus software, and even Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Meanwhile, Apple's AirPods wireless headphones shot to the #1 spot for October for their first time (they were #2 in September behind the Amazon Fire TV Stick).
Apple ($AAPL) also continued to sell its Lighting-to-3.5mm Headphone Adapter like it's going out of style. The ubiquitous $9 headphone adapter landed at #3 for the month of October, up one spot since September. They were outranked only by Apple AirPods and the Amazon Fire TV Stick.
